Hey it's me again! Thank you for the tip, I was able to follow you. Also I wanted to thank you for the tutorial for the status cafe thingy, I was really lost on it but really wanted the status on my site. I really didn't understand much of what I was doing and I'm pretty sure I didn't follow all the steps correctly but I was able to get the status on my homepage and I'm really happy about it! I'm such a noob on all this but I was feeling so hacker haha Also your music is so cute!

no problem at all, i'm happy to help! i was sooo disappointed when i heard about the restrictions on new accounts, so when i found out about the workaround i felt like i had to make it my life's mission to share it >:) if there's any particular part of the tutorial that's confusing or weirdly written let me know, but in the meantime i think it looks great on your site and thanks for the compliment on my playlist! c:

Hi! Your site is so cool, I have stumbled upon it a couple times since I got into neocities, and I wanna follow you but it's always a link to your site, and I can't find your profile link! Do you have it somewhere on here??

Replied on: August 18, 2024 at 10:39:20 AM

i'm so sorry, i'll be sure to add a profile link in the next update! here it is for now - https://neocities.org/site/maphren - and if you're ever in this situation again with someone else you can try entering that same link with the domain name of whoever's profile you're trying to find (like yours would be neocities.org/site/genn1323) and 90% of the time it works :) it only leads to a dead end if they have a custom domain that uses a different term (for instance prismatic-realm.net's profile is actually at neocities.org/site/prismatictigers). best of luck with your site, hope this helps and welcome to neocities! :D

I just wanna say, I love the way you're using iframes on your site! A great way to keep music playing across all your webpages. Your style is just really cool overall! It's like one of those pineapple flavored gummy bears that accidentally got some blue mixed in at the factory (o・ω・o) I added ur site button too! (i need to make one myself but pixel art will be the end of me lmao)

thank you so much!!! i spent a good few days desperately trying to think of a way to do it, even ending up looking at javascript until i finally found out what an iframe is :') your site is really wonderful too, i love how you can pick your bgm and the whole site reminds me of how it felt to play harvest moon as a kid :)) p.s. it's actually not pixel art, just a normal drawing scaled down and edited, and p.p.s. it's nice to meet another grass type on neocities! c:

Hi, your website is soo nice and clean, could you tell me (pls on my site in chat or dm me on Discord) what is the effect you used in your banner to make it look pixelated / dithered? I've been trying to get eactly that but I cant seem to find the right keywords for google lol.

messaged! for anyone else in the future reading this, i think most ppl use photoshop to dither their imgs but i use dithertron (linked in my resources&credits page) or dither me this for online alternatives :)

thank you so much!! your site is super cool too and it has real promise, i'd recommend that you just go for it and it'll be about 1000x easier than you expect :) i love my site but it's not a technical marvel or anything, it's something anyone could achieve as long as they just have fun, experiment, and don't put unnecessary pressure on themselves! good luck :D

Love your website layout. Very comfy and easy on the eyes. Reminds me of a Japanese file-share site from the 2000s, and I just love the look of it. Def gonna keep an eye out for any future updates and changes you make.

thank you so much, i appreciate your visit and the kind words! i'm so glad about it being easy on the eyes, i was worried about the readability cus of the fonts and site brightness and stuff so that's a relief. definitely stay tuned, updates tend to come in waves and i have a lot in mind but right now i'm just busy with work and artfight c:
